Welcome to New Beginnings OB/GYN. Established in 2003, Dr. Hines has become an integral part of this community caring for many of the same women since she opened the doors of her private practice. Dr. Hines’ clinical staff includes two physician assistants and four nurses to take care of you from the beginning to end of your visit, and address any concerns you may have afterwards. The administrative staff takes pride in getting to know patients by name and making everyone feel welcome the moment they arrive. We would love to meet you and be the ones to provide the dedicated care you’re looking for.
Dr. Brenda Hines
Dr. Brenda Hines has enjoyed providing care to women in the Fredericksburg area since 2001. She and the staff at New Beginnings offer care that caters to the total well being of female patients. Although we specialize in women’s health care, we diagnose and treat conditions to aid patients in achieving maximum total body health. We encourage healthy eating habits, exercise and a positive lifestyle.
A native of New York, she attended Mount Sinai School of Medicine in Manhattan, New York. Dr. Brenda Hines received her residency training at Howard University Hospital in Washington, D.C. Prior to moving to Fredericksburg, she practiced medicine in Washington, D.C. for 8 years. She and her husband, Dr. Daniel Hines, have been married for 28 years and enjoy three beautiful children. Her interests are serving the community, reading, and staying fit. Dr. Hines also passionately believes in always being positively focused.
Although New Beginnings provides healthcare for the entire patient, Dr. Hines specializes in weight reduction, adolescent and obstetrical care, preventive medicine, colposcopy and treatment of abnormal paps.
Leigh Florio, PA-C
A native North Carolinian, Leigh holds a BS in biology from Wake Forest University, and a Master of Health Sciences from the Duke University Physician Assistant Program.
Leigh has lived in Fredericksburg with her husband and four children for the past thirteen years, joining Dr. Hines and the New Beginnings family in 2009. While school and extracurricular activities of their children keep them very busy, both Leigh and her husband enjoy being active parishioners of St. Mary Church. They are also avid runners and have participated in several local races together.
Leigh is very happy to call Fredericksburg home and appreciates the opportunity to provide women of all ages with compassionate, Christian-centered healthcare.
