A woman’s health is a responsibility she shares with her doctor. The physician is responsible for providing information about basic health needs and treating problems that may occur. This includes giving women information about healthy lifestyles, as well as providing preventative tests to check for disease. This section has been designed to give women information on different types of tests that are available to detect early stages of diseases that may occur. It also includes information about other social and preventative issues such as domestic violence, exercise, nutrition and smoking cessation.
The information provided is not intended to serve as medical treatment or advice, nor should it be a substitute for in person consultation with our providers or staff. If a problem arises you should seek medical attention immediately by calling a physician or, if necessary, going to a hospital emergency room.
